Cornwall's rain-affected opening Minor Counties Championship of the season with Cheshire at Falmouth not surprisingly ended in a draw. After the entire loss of a rain-ruined second day, Cheshire made 408-6 in reply to Cornwall's first innings 375. With only 29 overs of Monday's final day remaining, Cornwall then reached 92-4 before the scheduled close. The Duchy start their next Minor Counties game on Sunday week (21 June) away to Herefordshire at Brockhampton.
