White's innings pushed Rushden up to fourth place in the table |
County all-rounder Graeme White played the decisive role as Rushden inflicted a first defeat of the season on Northants League high-fliers Finedon. White, 22, hit an unbeaten 82 to steer his side to their victory target of 144 with five wickets in hand. Northampton Saints moved 12 points clear at the top of the Premier Division as Zak Harvey's century earned them a winning draw against Brixworth. And Burton Latimer beat bottom club Desborough by 132 runs. There were also outstanding individual performances from Wollaston's Mark Ralph and Martyn Cory of Old Northamptonians, who hit hundreds in drawn games against the Northants Academy and Stony Stratford respectively. In the other Premier match, Rushton settled for survival on 178-5 after being set 249 to win at Peterborough.
