Jack Davies (centre) began the new season in style with a century |
Barlaston 2nd XI had two reasons to celebrate on the opening day of the new season, with two fantastic individual feats against Crewe 2nd XI on Saturday. Batsman Jack Davies, 15, scored an unbeaten century off just 88 balls in Barlaston's total of 239-4. Opening bowler Rob Aked then took a hat-trick as Crewe were dismissed for a paltry 46 from 21 overs. Barlaston took the maximum 25 points from the game, and are joint-top of the table alongside Meir Heath.
