Ireland lost to Kenya by six wickets in their latest World Cup qualifier in Pretoria, South Africa, on Friday, but now play Canada in Sunday's final. The Irish, who have already qualified for next year's World Cup, batted first and made 208-9 off their 50 overs, Niall O'Brien top-scoring with 59. Kenya replied with 209-4 off 48 overs, with Collins Obuya ending on 66 not out and Thomas Odoyo on 50 not out. Regan West took two wickets and Kevin O'Brien and Phil Eaglestone one apiece. O'Brien scored his 59 off 71 balls. John Mooney scored 34, Andrew White 25, Kevin O'Brien 22 and William Porterfield 21 for Ireland. Kenyan captain Steve Tikolo was the leading Kenyan wicket-taker with 3-11. For Kenya, Kennedy Obuya hit 31 and Steve Tikolo 25 but Obuya and Odoyo put on an unbeaten partnership of 113 to see their side through to victory. Ireland must face the Canadians without Eoin Morgan who has returned to county duty with Middlesex.
