Rob Harrison rescued an impressive draw for Cornwall in Tuesday's Twenty20 match with first class county Somerset. Ben Smeeth took four wickets while Cornish native Carl Gazzard hit 36 not out and Omari Banks got 33 as Somerset scored 153-8 in their 20 overs. In reply captain Tom Sharp hit an impressive 55 not out and Gary Thomas made 42 as they put on 72 for the second wicket. But Cornwall needed Harrison's last ball six to clinch the draw. For Somerset it was a chance to keep spreading their message around the south west, having beaten Devon by two runs on Monday. Somerset's former England batsman Marcus Trescothick said the game was a chance for the county to try and attract the best players from the region to Taunton. He said: "If we can get the catchment area as big as we can to pick up the good players that play for Somerset, then Devon, Cornwall or anywhere in this part of the country is very important for us."
