Chris Brown took four wickets but ended on the losing side |
Swardeston won the 2008 Carter Cup with a 47-run victory over Horsford in the Manor Park final. Jaden Hatwell hit 77 as Swardeston posted 204 all out off 56.2 overs, spinner Chris Brown took 4-36. In reply Horsford slumped to 51-5 and, after Richard Sims claimed three wickets in four balls, they were skittled out for just 157. Swardeston have now won two trophies this season and are 50-points clear at the top of the East Anglian Premier. Mark Thomas' side claimed the Norfolk Twenty20 competition earlier in the summer and are also through to the final of the Stan Biss Trophy.
