League One newcomers MK Dons sprung a shock in dumping out Championship Norwich, thanks to Sam Baldock's goal.
Baldock, 19, raced on to Keith Andrews' pass to confidently clip the ball over Canaries' keeper David Marshall for his first career strike.
Darel Russell hit the post as Norwich, twice-winners of the League Cup, struggled to create enough chances.
Despite late Norwich pressure the Dons held on to give manager Roberto di Matteo his maiden win.
