The Isle of Man have progressed to the knockout stages of the International Visas six-a-side tournament in Canada.

Victory in their final two league matches left the Manx team topping their group with five wins out of six.

On Wednesday the Island defeated the Australia team, Sundowners. Batting first their opponents made 107-5.

The Manx team then batted well to reach the total for the loss of just two wickets, in-form Ollie Webster hitting a powerful and undefeated 58.

The Manx side then took on Dallas, a team which included three United States internationals. The Americans scored 120-4, with Garreth Roome again bowling well (2-18).

Then Webster blasted an awesome 81 not out to see the Island to victory in just under nine overs.

The knockout stages which will begin on Friday.
