Shropshire head for Truro to play Cornwall on Sunday hoping to maintain their winning start in the Minor Counties Championship. After last week's opening win over Herefordshire at Shifnal, county chairman Bryan Foulkes said: "We really want to win the Championship this year. "There is a lot of talent in the pipeline and hopefully they'll all make it into the county side." Shropshire look set to give Wellington batsman Simon Harding his debut. After narrowly missing out on making the last eight of the MCCA Knock-out Trophy the previous weekend, Shropshire restored spirits with their form in the Championship with that eight-wicket win against Herefordshire, inspired by an unbeaten 94 from Jono Whitney. And that has given cause for optimism in Shropshire cricket. "Last year we were runners-up," said Foulkes. "But this year we've got great hopes."
