Matthew Dowman took a wicket and hit a century against Norfolk |
Lincolnshire captain Rob Cook insists his team will bounce back from being knocked out of the MCCA Knockout Trophy at the quarter-final stage. At Grantham on Wednesday, Lincolnshire made 235-9, only to see Norfolk hit 238-6 in reply to win by four wickets. Lincolnshire are in action again on Sunday against Northumberland in the Minor Counties Championship. Cook told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "We'll take it on the chin we can't wait now till Sunday." He continued: "We have only had one bad day out of eight days this season." Lincolnshire director of cricket Mark Fell believes the majority of the blame for defeat lies with his own players: "I think we have performed below-par that is the disappointing thing."
