Lincolnshire's fielding will have to be sharp to win the match |
Lincolnshire were in a strong position to win their first minor counties match of the year at the end of day two in their game against Staffordshire. Resuming on 59 for 4 at Sleaford on Monday Staffordshire were bowled out for 109, giving Lincolnshire a first-innings lead of 236. Lincolnshire captain Rob Cook decided not to enforce the follow on and declared their second innings on 217. Staffordshire closed the second day on 83 for 2 needing 451 to win. Cook told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "Personally I think we have played all the cricket and deserve to be in the position we are in. "We are going to go out and hit that pitch and go at the them, I can't wait".
