Denly fights back for England U19
Third Under-19 Test, Calcutta, day two (close): England 189-4 v India 472-4 dec

England's batsmen showed some fight in the face of a daunting Indian total on day two of the third Under-19 Test.

But by stumps in Jamshedpur they were struggling at 189-4 in reply to the hosts' 472-4 declared.

Cheteshwar Pujara completed his double century and M Tewari reached three figures before the innings closed.

Kent's Joe Denly hit a brisk 81 in reply before giving a return catch to leg-spinner Piyush Chawla, and Ben Harmison went to stumps 40 not out.
