Patel has endured a difficult series with both bat and gloves
India have dropped wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel and batsman Yuvraj Singh for the final Test against Australia.

Opening batsman Aakash Chopra and seamer Ajit Agarkar were also left out after India conceded the series with a 342-run third Test in Nagpur on Friday.

Patel, 19, endured a difficult series with both bat and gloves as Australia secured triumph in the third Test.

Dinesh Karthik, also 19, is set to make his Test debut after appearing in two one-day internationals this year.

Three other uncapped players, opening batsmen Gautam Gambhir, Dheeraj Jadhav and swing bowler Shib Shankar Paul, were also drafted in.

Pace bowler Irfan Pathan has failed to recover from a side strain for the match in Mumbai (Bombay), which begins on Wednesday.

But captain Sourav Ganguly, whose chances of recovering from a groin injury are rated 50-50 is included in the 15 subject to fitness.
