Mani is confident the row will be settled before England's tour

The postponement of Zimbabwe's Test series against Australia is unlikely to affect England's scheduled tour there this October.

Zimbabwe's player crisis would seem to present England, under pressure to pull out of the tour on moral grounds, with a feasible exit route.

But ICC president Ehsan Mani said he expected the player row to be resolved before the England series.

He said: "I think the matter will come out before England is due there."

Mani expects the dispute, in which 15 players were sacked after protesting primarily over selection issues, to be settled before Zimbabwe's planned tour of Pakistan a month prior to the England series.

None of the striking Zimbabwe players will take part in the three-match one-day series that Australia have agreed to play.
