Tour match, Takashinga, day one (close): Zimbabwe A v West Indies
Daren Ganga and Shivnarine Chanderpaul scored tons as West Indies controlled the opening day of their three-day tour match against Zimbabawe A.
The visitors are preparing for a two-Test and five-match one-day series against Zimbabwe.
The Windies declared on 404-5 before the hosts reached 31-0 at Takashinga, Henry Olonga's former club.
Ganga weighed in with 110 before Chanderpaul retired on 102 following an unsure start by West Indies.
They had lost Wavell Hinds (five), Chris Gayle (25) and captain Ramnaresh Sarwan (17) in the morning session.
Marlon Samuels (66) and Ridley Jacobs (55) both scored unbeaten half-centuries to complete the recovery.
Zimbabwe A are captained by Dion Ebrahim, one of seven players in the side with international experience.
The first Test starts on 4 November in Harare.
