Andrew White took three wickets against Cricket Conference |
Ireland's winning streak continued with a record sixth victory on the trot following a 124-run success over Club Cricket Conference at Shenley.
Hero of the hour was teenager Eoin Morgan who top-scored with 71 in Ireland's excellent 266 for seven from their 50 overs.
The Irish bowlers then backed up their batsmen when they skittled the CCC for 142 with 16 overs remaining.
Kyle McCallan and Andrew White chipped in with three wickets apiece while Paul Mooney grabbed a couple.
Mooney was also extremely diligent with the bat as he swiped his way to a quick-fire 66 while Peter Gillespie picked up 48 useful runs.
But it was Morgan's innings that caught the eye. On Wednesday he was run-out without scoring after becoming the youngest player to make his debut for Ireland.
That was all forgotten by the 16-year-old Dubliner the following day with a series of flashing shots to earn the plaudits.
