Smith's captaincy has got off to a good start |
South Africa have set their sights on England after beating Bangladesh comfortably in the two Test series.
They wrapped up a whitewash in Dhaka by beating the Tigers by an innings and 18 runs in the second Test on Sunday to stay top of the International Cricket Council's Test table.
South Africa head to England next month for a five-Test series and a triangular one-day competition, which also involves Zimbabwe.
And captain Graeme Smith cannot wait for the summer tour.
He said: "The Bangladesh visit was a great learning experience.
"The team are now looking forward to the upcoming England tour."
South Africa are rebuilding after a dismal World Cup, in which they were knocked out of in the group stage.
They sacked captain Shaun Pollock and replaced him with 22-year-old Smith.
South Africa took an inexperienced side to Test strugglers Bangladesh but they all took their chance with relish, especially batsman Jacques Rudolph, who scored a double century on his debut.
He is highly likely to keep his place in the squad for the England tour but South Africa coach Eric Simmons has hinted there might be some squad changes.
Batsmen Gary Kirsten, Lance Klusener and all-rounder Jacques Kallis could all return.
Simmons said: "It [the England tour] will be a new assignment.
"I think there might be some changes."
