Flower found guilty
Zimbabwe's Grant Flower has been fined after using obscene language and making aggressive gestures to the crowd in a one-dayer against Pakistan on Wednesday.
Grant Flower
Flower was fined but not suspended

Flower breached 'level one' of the International Cricket Council's (ICC) code of conduct during Zimbabwe's loss in the third match in Harare.

The all-rounder was docked half of his match fee but escaped a suspension and will be allowed to play in the final two games of the five-match series.

Pakistan hold an unassailable 3-0 lead.

Flower was reported by Zimbabwe umpire Kevin Barbour to match referee Clive Lloyd on two counts of using obscene language and gesturing toward the pavilion in an aggressive manner.

The incident occurred after Flower bowled a delivery in the 30th over that saw Pakistan opener Taufeeq Umar caught for 68.

At a hearing after the match, Flower admitted the charges.

He was also given "a severe warning regarding his future conduct", an ICC delegate said.

An ICC investigation group was at the ground to ascertain whether Zimbabwe, which has suffered political and economic turmoil for 30 months, can safely host World Cup fixtures next year.

It was not clear if the group was in the pavilion when Flower gestured toward the building.

In the first Test between the two sides, Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was disciplined for ball tampering.

He received a 'level two' reprimand after being found guilty of changing the general condition of the ball by scuffing it on one side.

Akhtar was severely reprimanded but no further action was taken for what was considered a minor incident.
