Commonwealth Games 2010: Manx pair miss out on medal

Watterson missed out on the individual 10m air rifle final

The Isle of Man's double trap pairing of Tim Kneale and Jake Keeling narrowly missed out on winning the island's second medal in Delhi on Wednesday.

The Manx shooters finished in fifth place, just three clays behind bronze medallists Malaysia.

Both Kneale and Keeling shot scores of 91 for a combined 182.

England's Steve Scott and Stevan Walton won the gold with a new Games record of 189, beating India's Ronjan Sodhi and Asher Noria by a single shot.

Malaysia's Benjamin Cheng Jie Khor and Seng Chye Khor took bronze.

Meanwhile, Steven Watterson failed to qualify for the men's 10m air rifle final.

Watterson's score of 572-22x, was only good enough for 15th in his heat.
