Jersey archer Lucy O'Sullivan lost to Welsh Janette Howells

Jersey archer Lucy O'Sullivan is out of the woman's compound competition after losing to lower-ranked Janette Howells of Wales in the quarter-finals.

But O'Sullivan remained upbeat despite the defeat after shooting two personal bests in defeat.

She said: "I have to be happy with what I did well, but it is frustrating to go out early."

Fellow archer Mike Coward reached the last 16 in the men's recurve, before losing to India's Rahul Banerjee.

Both competitors are now focussing on supporting the team, as well as making the best of chances to see a few sites around Delhi.
