Rachel Cawthorn took gold in the women's K1 (single kayak) 1,000m event, adding bronze over the 500m Olympic distance later in the competition.

Ed McKeever won the men's K1 200m, an event which will make its debut at the London Olympics, as will the K2 200m, which was won by British duo Liam Heath and Jon Schofield.
