Guildford paddler Rachel Cawthorn is making waves for Britain in the Olympic sport of sprint canoeing.
She won the 500m K1 (single kayak) World Cup race in Duisburg, Germany earlier in June, as well as the event's non-Olympic 1,000m final, adding a bronze over the shorter 200m distance, which is new for the 2012 Olympics.
Cawthorn and GB team-mates Tim Brabants, Louisa Sawers and Jess Walker, provide an introduction to her world ahead of the 2010 European Championships, which begin in Spain on 2 July.
