Belfast super middleweight Brian Magee looks set to fight former WBC champion Robin Reid later this year. IBO champion Magee and former WBC champion Reid became Britain's top two in the division after Joe Calzaghe's move to light-heavyweight.
The winner of the bout could get a crack at the WBC belt next year.
Magee faces Nigeria's Jerry Elliott on 17 April while Reid is on the comeback trail after his controversial loss to Sven Ottke last December.
According to Magee's representatives, Matchroom Promotions, negotiations are already underway with a date in July or September looking most likely.
