Johnson hopes to represent Great Britain in the 2012 Oyumpics |
Lincolnshire light-heavyweight boxer Callum Johnson has been chosen to fight for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games. Johnson was not initially chosen in the team as he first fought for Scotland only four years nine months ago. Scottish Commonwealth protocol usually requires fighters to have fought their first fight at least five years prior to being picked. But following an appeal, the 24-year-old, who qualifies because of his Scottish grandparents, has been chosen. Callum told BBC Lincolnshire "For me standing on the podium and getting a gold medal would be the ultimate."
