Rob Norton successfully retained his British and Commonwealth cruiserweight titles after his rematch with challenger David Dolan ended in a draw. The 37-year-old southpaw won the title in February last year by beating Dolan, 30, on points and this fight also went the distance in Altrincham, Cheshire. The outcome was in doubt until the end, eventually ending in a three-way split. One judge scored the messy fight 115-114 to Dolan, the second 116-113 to Norton and the third 114-114.
