Brackett is keen his team are not down for the count in London |
Oxford University boxing coach Des Brackett says his fighters are capable of beating Cambridge at this year's varsity match on Tuesday. This is the 102nd time the two universities have met in the ring and Cambridge are currently leading the series by one. "I think we have done our homework and realistically we are on par with Cambridge this year," said Brackett. "I'll be disappointed if we don't win. None of our team like losing." On top of the nine Varsity bouts, which are all men's fights, there will be three exhibition women's matches. For the first time the venue will be the 1,500-seat Old Billingsgate Market in London.
