Froch gears up for title shot Nottingham boxer Carl Froch claims it is "his time" to become world super-middleweight champion. Froch fights for the WBC belt against Canadian Jean Pascal at the Nottingham Arena on Saturday, 6 December - his first shot at world honours. And Froch told BBC Radio Nottingham he is in confident mood: "I strongly believe I can become world champion. "This fight is my time. It's my time to fight for what I've dreamt of for seven or eight years." BBC Radio Nottingham will have commentary on Froch's world title fight on Saturday, 6 December at 2300 GMT. There will also be a preview of the fight from 1800 on Friday, 5 December, which will also be available online at bbc.co.uk/nottingham.
