Khan vows to learn from knockdown
Amir Khan
Khan was made to work hard in his last fight against Limond
Amir Khan believes getting knocked down in his last bout will help him when he faces Scott Lawton in his next fight on 6 October at the Nottingham Arena.

Khan had to get off the canvas to claim the Commonwealth lightweight title against Willie Limond last month.

"I'll learn from that - to keep my hands up, get that lateral movement," said the Bolton 20-year-old.

"Every fight, I am learning and getting better and better. I'm getting better from every fight."

The Olympic silver medallist added: "There are a few things I've started working on from the last fight, tightening up my guard, having that lateral movement which wasn't there in the (Limond) fight."

Promoter Frank Warren said facing Lawton, who has a record of 20 wins (four by knockout) and three defeats, would be a "real test".

He said: "Scott is well respected in the trade, his last fight was against Jonathan Thaxton for the British title."
