Danny Williams can bounce back from defeat to Matt Skelton |
Danny Williams has been made the mandatory challenger for new British heavyweight champion Scott Gammer. Domestic rival Matt Skelton handed Brixton's Williams a unanimous points defeat in their Commonwealth title rematch in Cardiff last weekend.
But Williams, 32, a former world title challenger and British champion, has the chance to bounce straight back.
The British Boxing Board of Control instructed Welshman Gammer, 29, to make his first defence against Williams.
Gammer, from Pembroke Dock, became the seventh Welshmen to be crowned British heavyweight champion thanks to a ninth-round stoppage of Mark Krence in June.
