Magee will make his second title defence in the King's Hall |
Eamonn Magee has warned Margate's Takaloo that he is "putting his life in danger" by challenging him for the WBU welterweight title. Magee is joint top of the bill at the King's Hall in Belfast on 20 May when Scott Harrison defends his WBO featherweight belt against Joan Guzman.
"Takaloo is in trouble. I saw him in his last fight and he looked like death warmed up," said Magee.
"He's coming down a weight to fight me and that means he's in danger.
"He must be murdered to make the weight and I really feel he's putting his life in danger.
"I won't be showing him any mercy, that's for sure and I would be quite confident that he'll be stopped.
"If it goes the distance he will have taken some beating from start to finish.
Magee is making his return to the ring after a year out of action.
"This is a big night for me in front of my home fans and this is just the start of me getting my career going.
"By the end of the year I want to be back fighting for a major world title.
"Frank Warren has promised me that if I win then I'm back in there for the big fights and I'm sure that he will deliver as he has in the past.
"I can still do light-welterweight, so whether it's at welterweight or light-welterweight I'll be ready for it."
