Magee will make his second title defence in the King's Hall |
Belfast fighter Eamonn Magee is to finally make his second defence of the WBU welterweight title on 20 May. Magee had been due to box Englishman Takaloo in London on 3 December but the fight was called off because of a dispute over purse money.
Magee will take on the same fighter on the King's Hall bill, which will also feature Scott Harrison's WBO title defence against Joan Guzman.
Magee's last bout was against Denmark's Allan Vester in Belfast in March 2005.
It was the Terminator's first title defence and completed his comeback from a horrific street attack.
Doctors had told Magee he would never fight again after being left with multiple injuries including a punctured lung and fractured left knee in February 2004.
