A hand injury has made Wales' Gavin Rees withdraw from Saturday's planned bout with Scotland's Martin Watson. The York Hall encounter was due to be for the vacant WBU lightweight title.
Watson, 24, will now face 23-year-old Ryan Barrett, but the title will not be available as the British Boxing Board of control refused to sanction it.
Undefeated Newbridge fighter Rees, 25, was out for 18 months after a BBBC ban, but impressed in stopping Daniel Thorpe earlier this month.
