Mexican Jose Luis Castillo produced a stunning left hook to knock out Diego Corrales in the fourth round of their non-title bout in Las Vegas. The fight was to have been for the WBC and WBO lightweight belts, a rematch of an epic in May when Corrales triumphed, but Castillo failed to make the weight.
Corrales was cut over his right eye in the second and Castillo took the third before unleashing the fearsome punch.
On the count of nine Corrales staggered to his feet but could not continue.
After Friday's bizarre weigh-in there was further controversy when Castillo took to the scales again on Saturday afternoon. He had to make 147 pounds or pay Corrales $75,000 for each pound over as the fight turned into a welterweight clash, and he was recorded at exactly 147.

A row ensued between Castillo and Gary Shaw, promoter for Corrales, and a bet of $100,000 was placed that the Mexican would record a knockout.
"I want my money," said Castillo, who immediately offered Corrales the chance of another rematch.
Clauses for the third fight were already being devised, with Shaw insisting on a 135-pound limit.
Corrales was gracious after his defeat and said: "I have no excuses, he hit me with a good shot."
On the undercard, Jorge Arce retained his World Boxing Council interim flyweight title with a technical knockout of Australia's Hussein Hussein in the second round.
Arce knocked Hussein down twice before Hussein's corner threw in the towel and the fight was stopped at 2:50 of the second.
