Diego Corrales will meet Jose Luis Castillo in the ring for a second time in Las Vegas on 8 October. Corrales, whose WBC and WBO lightweight belts will be on the line, fought an epic encounter with Castillo in May.
America's Corrales was floored twice in the 10th before coming back to stop the Mexican later in the same round.
Promoter Bob Arum said: "This is certainly one of the best fights over the last 20 years. These guys never stop throwing punches. It's brutal."
Corrales, 27, courted controversy in the first fight by spitting out his gum shield after both knockdowns and buying extra time from the referee.
Corrales has 40 professional wins against two losses while Castillo, 31, is 52-7 with one draw.
Corrales has been touted as a possible opponent for Manchester's IBF light welterweight champion Ricky Hatton.
