The first fight was stopped on a technical knock-out |
Vitali Klitschko says the reason Lennox Lewis is on the verge of retirement is because he is too scared for a rematch between the two. Klitschko is preparing to face Kirk Johnson on Saturday and the winner will be the mandatory challenger to Lewis.
The Ukrainian led on the scorecard of all three judges when he faced Lewis in June but was stopped because of bad cuts to his face.
"I thought I could beat Lewis before our fight in June," said Klitschko. "Afterwards I was 100% sure."
Lewis has so far refused a rematch and has hinted that he may not fight again.
"I want part two, and everyone wants to see part two...When will that be? No-one knows," added Klitschko.
"If Lewis does not fight again, it will mean he is retiring because of me."
"The fight on Saturday is very important to me because it will mean I can fight for the championship again and that is my dream.
"I also want to show everyone that I can beat Lewis."
