| Saturday, 30 November, 2002, 13:43 GMT Reid sees off Mbonambi ![]() Reid (left) completed the job inside two rounds Former WBC super-middleweight champion Robin Reid enjoyed an easy victory over South Africa's Mondi Mbonambi at Liverpool Olympia on Friday. Reid hurt Mbonambi with a flurry of right hands and the fight was stopped in the second round after his opponent complained of a torn muscle in his right shoulder. Peter Culshaw won the vacant WBF super-flyweight crown with a unanimous points decision against Ncedo Cecane. Culshaw's South African opponent rocked him with a big left hand and right hook in the eighth round. But the former WBU flyweight champion recovered to improve his record to 23-1-1. Plymouth's Scott Dann stopped Carshalton's Delroy Leslie in the first round of their British middleweight title eliminator in the quickest fight of the night. |
