Cornwall's Annabel Gummow has missed the cut for the European Cross Country Championships after injury hampered her progress in the trials. The 16-year-old hurt her ankle in training prior to the trial race in Liverpool and despite starting the race, she was unable to finish. The top six finishers at the trials all qualified for the Under-20s race at the European Championship. Gummow represented GB at the IAAF World Youth games in July.
