Richard Buck has pulled out of a race in Germany due to illness

Yorkshire athlete Richard Buck and two of his City of York Athletic Club colleagues were on top form at the Northern Open meeting in Sheffield.

Buck won the 300m in a new personal best of 33.90 seconds, while younger brother James won the under-17s 300m.

James, who will turn 16 on Friday, is now top of his age group nationally after posting a time of 36.08.

Rebecca Tunnicliffe completed the York club's success by winning the under-15s shot putt with a throw of 10.59m.
