Sarah Waldron (no 1289) is to compete for England in Brussels

Herefordshire cross country star Sarah Waldron is to win her first England senior vest after winning Birmingham's Cross Challenge race on Saturday.

Waldron, from Pudleston near Leominster, said she was thrilled to be making her senior debut.

She told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "I've been selected to represent England in Brussels in two weeks time.

"I have only competed for Great Britain and England as a junior so far, so this is really exciting."
