Sanderson is yet to play for the Warriors this season |
Worcester Warriors skipper Pat Sanderson could be available to play in Sunday's EDF Energy Cup tie against Harlequins at Sixways. The former England international has not played for the Warriors since picking up a leg injury in a pre-season friendly against Ulster. Director of rugby Mike Ruddock has said Sanderson has a 50-50 chance of returning to action. Meanwhile Rico Gear could return for his first home game of the season. The former All Black pulled out of last weekend's EDF Energy Cup tie with the Ospreys at the last minute. So far this season Gear has only featured in two away games in the European Challenge Cup and the Warriors' opening league game at Northampton. Miles Benjamin is unlikely to feature after picking up a shoulder injury in the game in Bucharest while Kai Horstmann will not be making his return against his former club. Horstmann has been out of action since the Guinness Premiership game against Quins in early October and Ruddock said he will be missing for another two weeks. Loki Crighton, who also dropped out of the Opsreys game, is fit and looks certain to be in the Warriors 22. There will be full commentary on Sunday's game on BBC Hereford & Worcester on 104 FM and online at bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester.
