Ruwers has played three games for Warriors this season

Worcester Warriors have agreed to loan out front row Shaun Ruwers to National Division One side London Welsh.

Ruwers joined Worcester from Waterloo in the summer of 2007 and after 10 appearances from the bench was rewarded with a new two-year deal.

Director of rugby Mike Ruddock says a loan spell should aid his development.

"We believe a loan period can be very rewarding. Given the lack of A team rugby in the coming month we feel Shaun would benefit from game time," he said.

Warriors will have the option to recall Ruwers at any time during the loan period.

Another prop Callum Black went out on loan to Ottley two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Warriors' All Black wing Rico Gear is in the Barbarians squad for the match against Australia at Wembley on Wednesday, 3 December.

Gear will still be available for Warriors' European trip to Bourgoin on Friday, 5 December.
