Mo Farah will compete at the European Trials in Sheffield on 10 February as he aims for a place at the European Indoor Athletics Championships. The 23-year-old, recently crowned men's European cross-country champion, is to run in the 3,000m.
If he finishes in the top two he will be selected for the European Indoors event in Birmingham from 2-4 March.
"With the Euro Indoors in Birmingham there is a great incentive to get there and go for another gold," he said.
"The trials in Sheffield will be a key event for me.
"My confidence is really high at the moment after the win in the cross-country, but the challenges just keep coming for me."
Farah has had a successful year, claiming silver over 5,000m at the outdoor European Championships in Gothenburg as well as winning the Great North Mile in Newcastle in October.
In December, he stormed to victory in the European cross-country, becoming only the second Briton to win the men's title.
Even before his cross-country win, Farah was voted Britain's male athlete of the year by the British Athletics Writers' Association.
