Chambers won the sprint showdown
Britain's Dwain Chambers returns to top form with victory in the men's 100m, beating world record holder Tim Montgomery and compatriot Mark Lewis-Francis.

Chambers gets a cracking start and powers away from the field to win by two metres in a new stadium record of 10.15secs, against a strong head wind.

Montgomery pips Lewis-Francis for second on the line, clocking 10.26 with the young Briton coming home in 10.28.

American Bernard Williams is a comfortable winner of the men's 200m in 20.95secs, holding off the British challenge of Darren Campbell and Christian Malcolm.

Malcolm runs a poor bend but finishes strongly to pip a slowing Campbell for second.

Daniel Caines narrowly fails to confirm his return to form with victory in the men's 400m as he is edged out by American Derrick Brew.

Brew clocks 45.31secs, with Caines second in 45.44secs, and Scotland's Ian Mackie - having switched from the shorter sprints - running a personal best 46.13 in third.

Iwan Thomas is a disappointing fourth.

Rawlinson continued his good form
Mayock, competing in his 45th international for GB, takes victory in 3.37:92, with American Jason Lunn coming through for second ahead of Whiteman in third.

Chris Rawlinson, who won the European Cup last weekend, enjoys a fine run to win the men's 400m hurdles.

With main American rival Eric Thomas falling at the first hurdle, Rawlinson goes on to clock a superb 48.43secs- another new stadium record - in the blustery conditions.

Britain's Matt Elias finishes third in a season's best of 49.62, to help GB take a seven-point lead over the USA after five events, with Russia another four points adrift.

American David Krummenacker finishes strongly to win the men's 800m in 1.46:10, ahead of compatriot Khaderis Robinson.

Britain's Michael East knocks nearly a second off his personal best to finish third in 1.46:65.

Britain's Joice Maduaka finishes strongly to claim third on the line in the same time as Devers, 11.50.

Russia's Anastasia Kapachinskya wins the women's 200m in another stadium record of 23.34 secs after American Kelli White almost stops, expecting a recall for a false start.

The USA pip Russia on the line to win the women's 4x100m, with Great Britain a distant third.

A powerful quartet of Christian Malcolm, Dwain Chambers, Darren Campbell and Mark Lewis Francis finish a disappointing second to the USA in the men's sprint relay after a poor changeover between Chambers and Campbell.
