Hewitt has yet to dazzle on the clay of Roland Garros as he has on almost every other surface over the past two years. He finished last season as the world number one, sensationally winning the US Open and the Tennis Masters Cup in front of his home crowd in Sydney. The only disappointment in an otherwise faultless season came when he was on the losing side in the final of the Davis Cup against France. A consistent performer on all surfaces, Hewitt is one of the most promising players on the tour. He won seven tour titles while still a teenager and, with his powerful, attacking approach to the game, should continue his winning ways for another decade. |
