Former world number one who is still young enough to recapture old glories. Moya has struggled with back injuries since he was champion at Roland Garros in 1998, and his ranking has slipped. A clay-court expert but he has had success on other surfaces - has been a runner-up at the Australian Open and a semi-finalist at Flushing Meadows. Still picks up the odd tournament victory, and has eight in all. His latest came in March in Acapuloco when he beat the Brazilian Fernando Meligeni and he also reached the final of the Monte Carlo Masters. |
