London Wasps have signed England sevens winger Richard Haughton on a two-year deal from Saracens. The 29-year-old featured 19 times for the Premiership runners-up this season, scoring five tries. Wasps director of rugby Tony Hanks said: "Richard is a top-quality player, comfortable at wing and full-back." "His 10 years with Saracens, and his impressive record on the sevens circuit, make him a valuable addition to the squad." Haughton won a silver medal with the England sevens team in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and has scored over 100 tries on the IRB World Sevens circuit. | To test myself in a different environment sets up a really big season for me - a challenge that I really relish Wasps signing Richard Haughton |
