Brian Ashton - England
Brian Ashton may have led England to the World Cup final but he is still a man with a lot to prove.
Key players were critical of Ashton's approach to the 2007 World Cup, but he now has the chance to stamp his own authority.
Having recently been re-appointed as head coach, the Lancastrian's long-term goal is to develop England's pool of promising young talent into World Cup winners for New Zealand in 2011.
But with an "indefinite" contract, results remain a priority and if England fail to deliver, doubts about Ashton's future will continue.
