The last of Gareth Williams' five Wales caps (one start) came back in 2003 and the 29-year-old hooker may seem an unlikely contender to face England.
But he has impressed for Wales' form side, the Blues, this season, relegating the nation's regular second-choice number two Rhys Thomas to back-up duty.
New coach Warren Gatland comes in with a fresh eye, and a hooker who is solid at set piece and effective in the loose could well benefit.
