Dawson: "It was genuinely a moment of poetry to see him hit it.
"I'd seen it hundreds of thousands of times before, where he goes from that position with his arms forward, catches the ball and then sets it in his right hand before striking it.
"To see it happen in the last seconds of the final, with everything our whole lives had been working towards riding on it, was very special.
"It was like one of those slow-motion replays. The moment he hit it there was a thud and then that sweet sight of the ball sailing over the posts."
