Wigan Grand Final pen pix
BBC Sport profiles the players who will be on duty for Wigan in the Tetley's Super League Grand Final.

Wigan full-back Kris Radlinski

1. Kris Radlinski

Full-back, 27
Quickly re-captured his form after recovering from wrist surgery to confirm his rating as the top full-back in Super League.
Fearless as a last line of defence, he adds a cutting edge to the attack and chalked up his 154th try for Wigan in the elimination play-off against St Helens.

5. Brian Carney

Right winger, 27
Former Gaelic Footballer who has become a massive crowd favourite after producing the best form of his short career.
His long-range tries were pivotal in both play-off wins so far and the Dubliner looks certain to win his first Great Britain cap against Australia next month.

18. Martin Aspinwall

Right centre, 21
Among the crop of Wigan-born youngsters making a name for themselves this year, Aspinwall's brilliant form has kept former Great Britain centre Paul Johnson on the sidelines and could win him a Great Britain cap in the Ashes Series.
Has missed must just two of his side's 35 matches this year.

14. David Hodgson

Left centre, 22
Tops Wigan's tryscoring list with 20 after a consistent season in which he has missed only one game.
The pacy-Hull born three-quarter has proved to be a shrewd acquisition from Halifax and is in the Great Britain squad to face the Kangaroos.

2. Brett Dallas

Left winger, 28
The former Australian Test flier has underlined his class in his four seasons in Super League.
A brave runner and fearless tackler, Dallas has overcome a series of injury blows and is hoping to celebrate his 29th birthday on the day of the match by winning a Super League ring at the third attempt.

Sean O'Loughlin

15. Sean O'Loughlin

Stand-off, 20
Son of ex-Great Britain player Kieron O'Loughlin and brother-in-law of captain Andrew Farrell, his pedigree is unquestioned and he has made remarkable progress in his first full season in Super League.
Captained England 'A' last season and surely a future full international.

20. Luke Robinson

Scrum-half, 19
Cocky scrum-half in the Andy Gregory mould who has stepped into the boots of Adrian Lam with aplomb.
Clever footballer who oozes confidence for such a young player, he was a member of the England Academy team that beat Australia a year ago and is destined for great things.

30. Quentin Pongia

Prop, 33
Vastly experienced Kiwi who provided Wigan with a mid-season boost on his arrival from St George Illawarra.
The hard-hitting former New Zealand Test captain has the unique opportunity to complete a grand slam of Grand Final victories after winning titles in his native New Zealand, Australia and, as recently as May, in France with Villeneuve.

9. Terry Newton

Hooker, 24
Likely to be Great Britain's first-choice hooker for the Ashes Series after another superb season.
A beaten finalist with Leeds in 1998 and the Warriors in 2000 and 2001, the Wigan-born Newton is determined to get his hands on a Super League ring.

10. Craig Smith

Prop, 32
Arguably the form prop of Super League VIII, particularly since the arrival of his fellow countryman Quentin Pongia, the former Canterbury, South Sydney and St George-Illawarra player is in the form of his life, despite nagging concerns over the running style that brought him into conflict with Australian disciplinary chiefs.

11. Mick Cassidy

Second row, 34
Evergreen former Great Britain international who has made 343 appearances for his home-town club and is still producing the goods.
An unsung hero who makes the tackles and does the hard yards without any fuss.

Danny Tickle

12. Danny Tickle

Second row, 20
Wigan youngster who joined the club in 2002 from Halifax, where he made his senior debut at the age of 16, and has frequently been compared to a young Andy Farrell or Stuart Fielden.
The England 'A' international is a consistent goalkicker as well as a creative back row forward.

13. Andrew Farrell

Loose forward, 28
Truly a great of the modern era, Farrell has amassed 2,870 points in his 11 seasons with Wigan to move into second place behind the immortal Jim Sullivan in the club's list of all-time scorers.
Struggled with a knee injury recently but nothing will stop him leading his team out at Old Trafford.

Substitutes

8. Terry O'Connor

Prop, 32
Taking a back seat due to the fine form of Pongia and Smith but the former Great Britain forward provides major impact off the bench.
A magnificent servant and workhorse for Wigan in his nine years during which he has made 278 appearances.

4. Paul Johnson

Centre or second row, 24
Had more than his fair share of injuries since bursting on to the scene for Great Britain in 2001 and confined to substitute duties these days but useful player to slot into either the three-quarters or the back row of the pack.

17. Mark Smith

Hooker, 22
Under-rated hooker who delivers the ball crisply from dummy half and directs the team well and who would be a first-team regular but for the consistent form of Terry Newton. Got his chance in the final eliminator due to the withdrawal of Adrian Lam.

23. Gareth Hock

Back row, 20
A surprise inclusion in Stuart Raper's 2003 first-team squad but justified his selection with a string of memorable displays, mostly off the bench.
He has proved a useful understudy to Farrell and crowned a magnificent season by being named Super League Young Player of the Year.
